Roger Malerba
Roger Malerba is Chief Pharmacy Officer at NDC Distributors. In his role, Roger oversee’s all departments to help NDC Distributors devise and implement new strategies and to continue on the path to becoming the premier distributor of medications to all pharmacies across the USA.
With more than 35 years of success across the pharmaceutical, insurance, financial services, and healthcare industries, Roger has excelled as a senior healthcare executive and proven business leader. His entrepreneurial mindset led him to purchase his first pharmacy in 1987, and since then he has owned and successfully operated multiple pharmacies. His extensive background includes almost all types of pharmacy, including retail, specialty, compounding, closed door, mail-order, long-term care, 340B, and medical supplies.
Roger served as National Adviser for AmerisourceBergen (now Cencora) and Good Neighbor Pharmacy. AmerisourceBergen (now Cencora) is one of the largest global pharmaceutical sourcing and distribution services companies, helping both healthcare providers and biopharmaceutical manufacturers improve patient access to products and enhance patient care. In addition to his role as a National Advisor, he also sat on the company’s 5000 member locations PSAO Board known as GNPPN / Elevate, as well as the Manufacturer Advisory Board which worked directly with manufacturers both regionally, nationally and globally.
Over the years, Roger has been involved in the inception, development, and management of multiple pharmacy Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), as well as RMAA. RMAA is a consulting organization specializing in creating business solutions for sales, consumer value, marketing, advertising, operations, and technology challenges. These business units also developed multi-media venues including radio and television, where he served as not only the founder, but the host. Recently, Roger was leading strategic initiatives as a Program/Project Lead on business intelligence, technology enablement, and alternative reimbursement models for a 3500 member clinically integrated network of pharmacies.
Roger has received multiple awards and recognitions, including Drug Topics Magazine Honor Roll of Outstanding Independent Drugstore Retailers, GNP Pharmacist Achievement Award, GNP Community Plus Award, Commitment to Community Pharmacy Award, Business Success Award, National Advisory Board Service Recognition Award, New Jersey Nets Basketball Team Service Award, and AmerisourceBergen Recognition Award.
